Authentic Carcharodontosaurus Fossil Tooth from a Giant Predator

The Authentic Carcharodontosaurus Fossil Tooth belonged to Carcharodontosaurus saharicus. One of the largest meat eating dinosaurs ever found. It lived during the Late Cretaceous period in North Africa. Around 95 to 100 million years ago.

The name Carcharodontosaurus means shark toothed lizard. That name fits. Its teeth were long. Blade shaped. And lined with fine serrations. Much like the teeth of a great white shark. These serrations helped slice through flesh with force.

During the Cretaceous the region now known as the Kem Kem Basin was a rich ecosystem. Rivers cut through wide plains. Forested areas supported plant eating dinosaurs. Carcharodontosaurus likely preyed on large herbivores that shared this habitat.
