About These Specimens

Our Carcharodontosaurus teeth originate from the Late Cretaceous Kem Kem Group of southeast Morocco (Ifezouane and Aoufous formations). Typical crowns are laterally compressed with prominent mesial and distal carinae bearing serrations, plus characteristic enamel wrinkling—features that set them apart from conical spinosaurid teeth. Color commonly ranges from sandy tan to deep reddish-brown with occasional hematite staining; feeding wear, micro-chips along the carinae, and weathered enamel patches are normal indicators of age and authenticity.

Each tooth is graded as museum-, collector-, or study-grade. Stabilization, crack fills, reattachments, and any restoration (such as tip or base rebuilds) are fully disclosed and priced accordingly. We screen for heavy over-polish, painted serrations, composite bases, and mismatched matrix—issues frequently seen in the market—and reject pieces that fail our standards. Minor consolidant sheen along fracture lines is standard practice to preserve fragile enamel and dentine and will be noted in the listing.

For strict scientific labeling, isolated teeth are best described as “carcharodontosaurid” unless found with diagnostic skeletal material; our descriptions reflect this nuance while keeping buyer-facing titles clear. Whether you’re assembling a striking centerpiece, teaching theropod tooth morphology (compressed cross-section, serrated carinae, enamel wrinkles), or selecting a meaningful gift, Authentic Carcharodontosaurus teeth offer both scientific value and display presence.
